Berlin Rallye - City Bustle & Water Idyll

Start & Goal & Time

At the Berlin Cathedral, the group will be welcomed and familiarised with the rules of the City Bustle & Water Idyll Rallye.

We need about 15 minutes for the team-up. The teams start one after the other in short intervals. The part through the lively city takes 2 hours. Once we arrive at Urbanhafen, it's soon time to hit the water!

At least 15 minutes are needed for the briefing of the canoes. The round trip on the Landwehr Canal takes 2 hours, including a race on the water!

Finally, the approx. 45-minute evaluation & award ceremony can take place on a restaurant ship.

The Concept

The City Bustle & Water Idyll Rallye starts at the Berlin Cathedral. On foot and using public transport, you will first immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of Berlin. Team-wise you will puzzle your way from the historic centre of Berlin, via Bebelplatz, Gendarmenmarkt, along Friedrichstraße, past Checkpoint Charlie to Urbanhafen in Kreuzberg.

Arriving at Urbanhafen, the idyllic part of the rally starts, because now it's "On the canoes, ready, go!". As soon as everyone is ready and safely seated in the canoe, the paddle tour can begin. Of course, a team race on the water is not to be missed at the halfway point! There are various tour options - depending on fitness and time available. The crowning finale will be celebrated in the idyllic neighbourhood!

City Rallye through Berlin

The very caringly prepared city Rallye allowed us to familiarize our international guests with the heart of Berlin from a totally different aspect. Exciting tasks and puzzles to do and to solve in the courtyards and side streets, afforded us ever new perspectives, and we thus got a very positive impression of Berlin.

Thanks to Silvia and her team for all your flexibility!

Q&As - Questions and Answers

Weather and Outdoors - what counts as bad weather?

Bad weather is relative and depends more so on your clothing and equipment (bring an umbrella!) than on personal attitudes. To us objectively bad weather is when the activities have become dangerous because of thunderstorms for example. In such cases you can either postpone or cancel the Rallye. Participate in the next Rallye or get your money back – it’s up to you!

Fitness

How fit must participants be? Not a bit! We assure you that no high-level sports performances are required! The most important thing is to have fun guessing, questioning, testing yourself, making up rhymes, combining concepts and learning.
